"The Monk's yellow clothe" Oil on Canvas, 195 x 150 cm signed lower right
CONCEPT
"Kasopasat cloth, or what we call the yellow cloth, is the clothes of the Monks.
But as a man becomes a Monk that does not mean that the mind of that person is pure, clothes are just an external thing which tells us that the person is ordaines as a monk.
But keeping the precepts and being in the monastic discipline depends on the mind not of the clothes."
KORNMANUS ARIYAKAISRI is a very young artist but already very well recognized in the Thai Arts Family. He already participated in many exhibitions and has some works in BARAMEE MUSEUM.
